The Oklahoma Territory in 1906 is a frontier on the verge of becoming a state where the farmer and the cowman must learn to be friends and young lovers attend box socials in a surrey with a fringe on the top. The original 1943 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic ran for more than five years and remains an audience pleasing staple of the musical theatre cannon to this day!
